What a horrible night to have a curse...

Happy Halloween! What better way to kick things off than a Halloween special? 3 games for today, 1 for each system. The file's at the end, as usual. Anyway, here's the rundown on them.

Haunting- Starring Polterguy for the Genesis
As a punk rock ghost, try to scare the crap out of a family that wronged you in life.
Features plenty of hilarious animations as the ghost brings the furniture to life.
There's a short tutorial at the beginning, so I won't get into how to play. Just remember that "A" is "Z".

Fun: 8 out of 10. Some of the scares are hilarious, and the reactions are even better!

Difficulty: 5 out of 10. Nice smooth difficulty curve, starts off easy but can get tough around house 3.


Super Ghouls N' Ghosts for the Super NES

As King Arthur, try to rescue the Queen from demons. Really fun (but brutally hard) platformer. Lots of different weapons to kill the monsters in your way with. I'll be impressed if any of you reach the second level.

Fun: 7 out of 10. Great gameplay and atmosphere.

Difficulty: 9 out of 10. Extremely hard. But at least you can take more than one hit, unlike SOME games.


Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow for the Gameboy Advance
WARNING-LONG GAME
An action-adventure game set in Dracula's castle I won't spoil anything about the story, but basically, you are stuck in a castle full of monsters. Here's a pocket knife. Good luck!
The main character has the ability to absorb the souls of defeated enemies (at random) They can be used to do a MASSIVE variety of attacks, from throwing bones to giant, room clearing axe swings. You can also find weapons from a simple longsword all the way up to a scythe stolen from the grim reaper himself! Unlike the last 2 games, this one is pretty easy throughout and has a detailed storyline. Mainly because, if you can't beat something, you can go kill weaker enemies for experience.

Fun: 10 out of 10. Great music, great graphics, Great gameplay. And it's easy enough that you might get to see it!
Difficulty: 2 out of 10. Never gets too hard, and you can always level grind until you're unstoppable if you have to.

Just a tip: Mina's Charm is important later in the game.
